How a course works with us
During pregnancy water is close to the ideal place to train: buoyancy takes pressure off your back, pelvis and legs, and you can move without feeling heavy. The session is deliberately calm and adapts to how you feel.
- 1
Arriving and checking in
Before each session we briefly discuss how you are feeling today and what we should watch out for. That sets the intensity of the lesson.
- 2
Gentle mobilisation
We start by loosening shoulders, back and hips with calm, generous movements and gently get your circulation going.
- 3
Strength with buoyancy
Then come relieving exercises for your back, legs and the muscles that carry the extra weight in everyday life.
- 4
Relaxing and finishing
The session ends with conscious breathing, stretching and floating – for many participants the loveliest part.
Every exercise can be adapted to each trimester. Have a quick word with your doctor or midwife before signing up – and let us know afterwards if there is anything we should take into account.
